20131101Ppipa skeletons
swaying from the phone lines —
still some ribbon left

 

(“Pipas” are simple paper, string, and wood-framed kites that kids in Brazil construct and then do battle with in mid-air, trying to capture each others’ kites. The telephone wires are populated with casualties that failed to fall all the way to the ground.)
